We use standard nominal outside dimensions
on our walk-ins to meet most requirements. Custom sizes
are available to meet building limitations, column obstructions
or internal shelving or pallet arrangements.
Room heights are available in 1'0"
increments. Overall heights are determined by the type of
floor application used.
- Standard 4" Insulated Floor
Panels; 6' 6 ¼" through 26'6 ¼"
with single span panels (indoor applications). Additional
heights are available.
- Insulated 4" high Vinyl or Metal
Foamed Screeds; 6' 6 ¼" through 26'6¼"
with single span panels (indoor applications). A thermal
break in the building floor is recommended.
- Vinyl Screed, 1 ½" high;
6'3 ¾" through 26'3 ¾" with single
span panels, (indoor applications). A thermal break in
the building floor is recommended.
- Flat Bottom Wall Panels; 6' 2 ¼"
through 26'2 ¼" with single span panels (indoor
applications). A thermal break in the building floor is
recommended.
(All dimensions listed are based on 4" thick insulated panels.)
Our walk-ins are built using modular panel
construction. This allows for future enlargement of the
rooms by adding panels as required to change the size and/or
layout. Panels are interchangeable with other panels and
will lock together tightly.
All panel edges are foamed with a tongue
or groove for perfect alignment when assembled. PVC gaskets
are foamed-in-place on both the interior and exterior edges
to provide an airtight seal. Panels are equipped with "Posi-Loc"
cam action locks foamed-in-place to draw the panels together
tightly.
Panels are filled with polyurethane foam
insulation foamed-in-place to a minimum of 2.2 pounds per
cubic foot density. Panel thermal conductivity (K factor)
is .133 BTU/hr/sq.ft/degree F/inch. The overall coefficient
of heat transfer (U factor) is .033. Insulating efficiency
rating (R value) is 30.1. Our polyurethane foams meet the
current Montreal Protocol.
All panels are:
- Constructed to meet NSF Standard #7
- Constructed to meet Factory Mutual Standard
4880 for Class 1 Fire Rating
- Tested under UL 723 for surface burning
characteristics
- MEA approved for use in New York City
- Approved for use in the State of California
- Approved for use in Los Angeles, California
- Approved for use in the State of Oregon
- Approved for use in the State of Ohio
- Approved for use in Houston, Texas
- Approved for use in Dade County, Florida
Doors are flush mounted style with full
4 inch insulated thickness and finished to match the adjacent
wall panels. A magnetic gasket seals the fiberglass reinforced
door perimeter against stainless steel channels attached
to a fiberglass reinforced door/jamb. In low temperature rooms,
a frame heater wire is provided in the channel to eliminate
condensation. A flexible double blade sweep gasket seals
the bottom of the door to the door sill.
Each door is hung with heavy-duty cam-lift
hinges. A pull handle with cylinder lock and interior safety
release is provided. Hardware is attached to heavy aluminum
backing plates with stainless machine screws for durability.
Door sections include a vapor proof light fixture, light
switch with pilot light and a thermometer. Freezer doors
include a heater wire and a pressure relief port.
Doors are available in 26", 30",
34", 36", 42", 48", 54" and 60"
widths and 68", 72", 78", 84" and 90" heights. Custom
door sizes, sliding doors and overhead doors are also available.
Walk-ins are provided with or without
insulated floor panels as the application dictates. Standard
floor panels are available with 2" and 4" foam thicknesses.
Our panels are designed for loads up to 700 pounds per square
foot, evenly distributed. Various finishes are available.
- .100 smooth aluminum
- 16 gauge 304 stainless steel
- 16 gauge galvanized (not NSF approved:
for use under tile, concrete or applications not requiring
NSF approval)
- .100 diamond tread aluminum for heavy-duty
use.
Note: Floor plate overlay is available.
Floorless rooms are provided with one
of the following bases;
